Hi my name is Peng Huang, I'm 19 years old, live in Sydney Australia and have been performing close-up magic for a little over a year now. I first became interested in magic when a friend at high school showed me Darwin Ortiz's "Jumping Gemini" card trick. I have been into card magic since then, and started playing around with coins and sponges 6 months ago.
I would like to say that card magic is much much much more than the ambitious card routine. Sure, every magician should have one, but not as a sole act. My belief is that the magician, even the card magician, must master at least a few routines to perform, not just the ambitious card.
I do not want to force you Terry, but I strongly encourage exploring beyond the ambitious card. There is a mountain of knowledge on card magic waiting there for you!
