| Brian (Tubby) Seamans  
        
          
            
              Was born  in Stowmarket and attended the  Secondary Modern School from 1954 to 1957. Later he went on to form one of the areas most popular Rock n Roll bands that became known as the "RAIDERS"   
        
          This  photo is of one of the earlier versions of the band, performing in the Territorial Army Hall in Finborough Road Stowmarket 1959 ?  Rod Scott on Drums, Rod Bromham Vocals, Brian Seamans Guitar & Trevor Bromham (Rods brother) Guitar    
        
          
            This is the  line up that finally became known as the "Raiders" L to R Brian Seamans Guitar from Stowmarket,  Rod Scott Bass Guitar from Bury St Edmunds, George Manning  drums from Newmarket & Trevor Bromham Guitar, the lurex suites were a bright green    
        
          
            
                  Brian and Angela are on the left & Bill Dixon (Best man) is on the extreme right. Attending Mel Birch and Wendy's wedding 1959    Stowmarket British Legion Hall, the band wore Yellow suites while the sing wore a Blue and Red one          Bury St Edmunds Co-op Hall      Mike Durrant ..........? ? ? ................................Brian Seamans................Rod Scott   Mike Durrant is also  author of a local history book "Stowmarket-Then and Now"   A fund raising gig for Bethany Sheppard and the Cerebral Palsy Appeal   An article that appeared in the Bury Free Press Newspaper 2007  |
